Learn

I'm a big believer in interactive learning. Here are some of the tools I use.

•

  Subnet Trainer

Endless random IP addresses and prefixes to practice subnetting. It tracks score, streak, level, and accuracy, and has a cheat sheet built in.

•

  Packet Pilot

Guide a packet across a randomly built network. At every stop you choose the MAC address, the route, and the headers, and every wrong turn costs TTL.

•

  Conf T

A pixel-art story game where the controller is a real Cisco IOS terminal. Type the right commands to solve rooms and defend the town.
